Lars Henrik Johansen er cembalist og dirigent med utdanning fra Norges musikkhøgskole, Paris, Trossingen og København. Han har arbeidet som frilansmusiker i store deler av Europa og Amerika, og har dirigert og samarbeidet med ledende orkestre, ensembler og solister innen både klassisk, jazz og samtidsmusikk. I tillegg til en omfattende konsertvirksomhet og flere plateutgivelser, har han undervist ved blant annet UiO, NTNU og Operahøgskolen, og drevet studiesenteret CasalEmilio i Ravenna sammen med Barbara Cipollone, og avslutter nå en Ph.D. i musikkvitenskap ved NTNU, hvor han har vært del av forskningsprosjektet WoVen.
Lars Henrik Johansen is a harpsichordist and conductor who studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and in Paris, Trossingen, and Copenhagen. He has worked as a freelance musician throughout much of Europe and America, and has conducted and collaborated with leading orchestras, ensembles, and soloists in classical, jazz, and contemporary music. In addition to an extensive concert career and several recordings, he has taught at the University of Oslo, NTNU, and the Norwegian Opera and Ballet School, among others, and run the CasalEmilio study center in Ravenna together with Barbara Cipollone. He is currently completing a PhD in musicology at NTNU, where he has been part of the WoVen research project.
